Brazilian Jiu Jitsu - GI - Competition - Submission Only -

The adult weight classes in kilograms (kg) are IBJJF Gi divisions:
MEN (kg): 57.5, 64, 70, 76, 82.3, 88.3, 94.3, 100.5, 100.5+
WOMEN (kg): 53.5, 58.5, 69, 74, 74+
• Matches are: 
6 - minutes for the white division
7 - minutes for the blue belt division
8 - minutes for the purple belt division
9 - minutes for the brown belt division
10 - minutes for the black belt and all open divisions
• Submission only – no points
• If no-one gets a submission, we go to 1minute overtime, starting from the ambar position.
• If one competitor submits, and the other does not (opponent escapes), he is declared winner.
• If both competitors escape, the competitor with the fastest escape time will be the winner.
We will follow the IBJJF rules in regards to allowed moves per belt division. Any competitor attempting an illegal move will be disqualifie

I try to not copy other people's articles.  However I made an exception on this one because it is near impossible finding out interview of the master translated in English. Tonicao means big Toni (just in case you wondered). Tonicao gave the black belt to Douglas Santos. Therefore Tonicao is part of our lineage.
