Training report: Questions & Answers for Fundamentals and surprise graduation

This week, we covered questions and answers for fundamental.

The advanced students drilled their favorites techniques on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Stu taught rubber guard which was the most favorite guard during our facebook questionnaire.

For questions and answers, we covered the pro and cons of breaking the guard standing instead of breaking the closed guard on our knees.

We also covered arm bar from closed guard and arm bar defense.

On Thursday, we had a surprise graduation for our 2 new students (Patolo & Valentino).

They train at De la Salle College where Jay is currently working and teaching Nogi BJJ.

We are still taking new students for our Sandringham location at the moment.

Questions and Answers

A few common questions that pops up: How much are the fees? $40 per week for adult. We do not have a contract but require a 2 weeks notice to end your membership fees. Where are you located? We are located at 35 Church Street, Onehunga, Auckland. Do I need to be fit to join? No, you do not need to. You will get gradually BJJ fit by attending the classes. How big is the gym? We have about 150 sqm of mats (Tatami) for all our classes. We can easily have 25 people training on the mats with lot of space remaining. How many classes do you have? At the moment, we have classes on Mondays/Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays taught by Black Belts Instructors. We will have a Friday class taught by a Brown Belt Instructor later in the month January when the attendance starts picking up again. Do you have classes on Saturday?
