Couples of competition dates for February in Auckland

 2 competition events to start the year with.



13th - Mana Championships - Submission King | Queen - Auckland
Venue: TBC
The first one is run by Mana Championship on Saturday 13th February
Mana Championship is known for its round robin submission only format.
It means you get to have a match with everyone in your weight category which will give you lot of experience.
However, they allow knee reaping, toe hold and knee bar from blue belt and heel hooks from purple at the advanced division.
The location is to be confirmed but it is usually held at City Kick boxing.
The entry fee for spectator is $10 but be ready to sit on the mats and stand as no sitting option is available.











27th - NZ Grappler - No-Gi Auckland Regionals
Venue - Auckland - Barfoot and Thompson Stadium 203 Kohimarama Road
This event is run by NZ grappler and they use SIJJF rules.
Regional event usually have a repechage system which means you get one more win in case you lose your first match but that remains to be confirmed.
Also you have to pay an annual Federation membership fee to be allowed to compete in the NZ grappler event.
The entry fee for spectator is $10.

Questions and Answers

 A few common questions that pops up: How much are the fees? $40 per week for adult.  We do not have a contract but require a 2 weeks notice to end your membership fees. Where are you located? We are located at 35 Church Street, Onehunga, Auckland. Do I need to be fit to join? No, you do not need to. You will get gradually BJJ fit by attending the classes. How big is the gym? We have about 150 sqm of mats (Tatami) for all our classes. We can easily have 25 people training on the mats with lot of space remaining. How many classes do you have? At the moment, we have classes on Mondays/Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays taught by Black Belts Instructors. We will have a Friday class taught by a Brown Belt Instructor later in the month January when the attendance starts picking up again. Do you have classes on Saturday?
