Seminar with Rob Levy Sensei (6th DanJudo)

 We have the pleasure to host a seminar with Rob Levy (6th Dan Judo).


Rob is the president of the Auckland University Judo Club and their head Sensei.

The seminar will be on Tuesday 06/07/21 and will be free to our members.

"Rob Levy represented New Zealand as a top level international competitor for over ten years. As well as being a New Zealand weight division and open weight champion, he has medalled at Oceania, US Open, Maccabi Games and Commonwealth Championships. Rob represented New Zealand at three World Championships and has spent a substantial amount of time living, competing and training in Asia, the UK and Europe. Rob has also been a New Zealand Masters Champion (that's the "old bastards"), a New Zealand Kata Champion (and judge) and medalled for New Zealand in the first Asian Masters Open in 2010.


Rob was also Judo New Zealand's Senior Men's Coach from 2011-2016 and holds coaching qualifications from the British Judo Association and Judo New Zealand. Under his watch, the New Zealand team tied their highest judo medal haul at the Commonwealth Games in 2014, with two silvers and three bronzes. As well as being a National Selector, Rob was a member of Judo New Zealand's High Performance Commission and also has been the Head Coach of the Auckland Training Squad since 2012. "

Questions and Answers

 A few common questions that pops up: How much are the fees? $40 per week for adult.  We do not have a contract but require a 2 weeks notice to end your membership fees. Where are you located? We are located at 35 Church Street, Onehunga, Auckland. Do I need to be fit to join? No, you do not need to. You will get gradually BJJ fit by attending the classes. How big is the gym? We have about 150 sqm of mats (Tatami) for all our classes. We can easily have 25 people training on the mats with lot of space remaining. How many classes do you have? At the moment, we have classes on Mondays/Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays taught by Black Belts Instructors. We will have a Friday class taught by a Brown Belt Instructor later in the month January when the attendance starts picking up again. Do you have classes on Saturday?
