 All right, we are 2 weeks away from the competition.

auckland bjjWe have 4 classes and 1 open mats before the event.

Time to put all the hard training into practise.

If you do not compete, come and support your team mates at the event.
  
Check out your weight categories, read the rules and understand them. If you have any questions, ask your coach. 

It is not acceptable to think that you do not have to read the rules if you plan to play any kind of sports.

NZ Grappler’s BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU NO-GI TOURNAMENT will be held 22 February 2014. Don’t miss your chance to challenge yourself among the best of New Zealand. The event will take place at the TRUSTS ARENA in Henderson, Auckland. Adults and kids will compete on Saturday 22nd February.

SPECTATOR FEE

We will need to charge spectator fees to cover the costs of renting the venue. The TRUSTS ARENA has proven to be an excellent venue for the event, so we would like to continue to provide the best venue for our competitors.

Kids: $2


DIVISIONS

Competition is for both kids and adults of all levels and from all academies. There will be Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced divisions for all weight classes.
The adult weight classes in kilograms (kg) are IBJJF No Gi divisions:
MEN (kg): 57.5, 64, 70, 76, 82.3, 88.3, 94.3, 100.5, 100.5+
WOMEN (kg): 53.5, 58.5, 69, 74, 74+

Questions and Answers

 A few common questions that pops up: How much are the fees? $40 per week for adult.  We do not have a contract but require a 2 weeks notice to end your membership fees. Where are you located? We are located at 35 Church Street, Onehunga, Auckland. Do I need to be fit to join? No, you do not need to. You will get gradually BJJ fit by attending the classes. How big is the gym? We have about 150 sqm of mats (Tatami) for all our classes. We can easily have 25 people training on the mats with lot of space remaining. How many classes do you have? At the moment, we have classes on Mondays/Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays taught by Black Belts Instructors. We will have a Friday class taught by a Brown Belt Instructor later in the month January when the attendance starts picking up again. Do you have classes on Saturday?
